Apple Watch workout voiceover won’t turn off

Over the last few weeks, when walking or running my Apple Watch will annoyingly interrupt my music or podcast to inform me I have completed another kilometre, or one of my rings have closed.

I’ve gone through every setting I can find on both my iPhone and Apple Watch to turn off any setting associated with Siri announcements and voiceovers. I’ve watched YouTube tutorials to no avail - I am still interrupted by annoying announcements.

Is there something wrong with my Apple Watch, EarPods pro, or iPhone?

I can’t find or think of anything else buried in my settings that is causing the voiceover announcements during workouts to persist.
