Can’t reply to hide my email messages sent to me

cant reply to hide my email on my iPhone for some reason.

if I register on a site with hide my email I can get messages from the site but can’t reply to them

I’m using gmail/googlemail

Hide My Email works by generating a random email address you can use on websites. If active, this email will forward to your primary email address, so it’s not an address you can use to send from.

Ah sorry I explained poorly. I mean I used hide my email to fill in a ‘contact us’ form on a few sites for different things. When they reply I receive the reply. When I try to reply to that reply of theirs I can’t. It’s gives me an error message asking me to check my settings.

Which I have with Apple support on the phone and they say it’s a gmail issue even though I’m using the native Apple email app.
