New keyboard not working on iMac

Hi! This relates to an iMac 27" 5K macOS 13.7.1 :: I had to buy a new keyboard yesterday b/c there were at least a couple of letter keys were completely stuck/not working; I attached the new keyboard but it is not working... i'm guessing b/c i probably had not updated the OS in a while... so i can't log in/access. Wondering what to do. thanks so much!

If you purchased a "6th gen" Apple Magic Keyboard (A2449), it is designed to only work with M-series Macs. As such, if yours in an Intel model, it will not work and you should return it for a full refund.
