Workout complication not showing recent workouts

Prior to the most recent upgrade, I used the compact modular face with Workout as the bottom complication. This listed the last three types of workouts I did so I could directly select one rather than opening the app. No matter where I place the application (elongated complication areas) that feature no longer appears.

also, why isn’t Workout a complication that can be selected on the Photos face?
