Removing a subscribed calendar from Calendar on Mac.

MacBook Air M2 13inch base model Mac OS 26.1.

I had an Gmail calendar, that I used for classes that I teach. I accessed it via subscription, rather than as a normal calendar. The Gmail account was not used for much mail, and had become the target of large amounts of spam, and phishing emails. I decided to shut it down. Prior to shut down, I removed the subscription and account from all of my Apple devices, except I forgot the MacBook Air. I tried unsubscribe option, and it does not work, because the underlying account is no longer valid on Google. How do I delete the listing of the calendar out of the calendar list? I was able to remove the internet account, but not the subscription.

Try deleting it directly from Calendar (new macOS layout)

In macOS 26 (Tahoe), the UI changed, and Unsubscribe may appear in a different place.

Try:

  1. Open Calendar
  2. In the sidebar, find the stuck subscribed calendar
  3. (it may appear under OtherSubscribed, or in a collapsed section)
  4. Control-click (right-click) the subscribed calendar
  5. Choose Unsubscribe
  6. (or Delete, depending on the label)
