iPhone 14 suddenly stopped charging

I've recently bought a refurbished iPhone 14 with a new battery. This morning, after one month and a half of usage, I wake up with my phone at 1%. I remembered plugging it in the night before. From settings, I noticed that it charged up to 100% from 00h to 3h. I have no information on the battery level after that time. This is what I tried:

  • Changing cable, even if the cable that I was using worked for my iPad. Didn't charge
  • Cleaning the charging port. Still didn't charge
  • Using wireless charge. Worked for one second and then didn't
  • Restarting the phone several times

Now I'm keeping my phone on wireless charge even if it is not charging. The battery is at 0% and the phone keeps restarting every two minutes or so.

In the battery section it says that the phone cannot verify if the battery is an original Apple piece and that the battery maximum capacity is 0%. Until yesterday I didn't have these problems and battery capacity was at 100%.

I really don't know what the problem could be and all I would like is to charge the iPhone enough to do a backup of my data or transfer it to another device.

Any help or ideas are much appreciated.

Try a force restart as a final try.

To hard reset an iPhone, perform a force restart by pressing and releasing the volume up button, then the volume down button, and finally holding the side button until the Apple logo appears.

also go and visit a authorised apple service provide and get the battery checked. I assume the previous owner got a third party battery from an unauthorised source.
