Spotify song skip with double tap not working on my Apple Watch 11

apple watch 11 double tap doesn’t skip song even when setting is chosen correctly. Im using 26.1 and tried trouble shooting the issue: change setting from iphone, from watch, toggle on and off, boot, update to 26.1. I’m using spotify, double tap pauses or continues the music. There is skip option but it doesn’t work when chosen, it will continue to pause or unpause anyway. If phone matters i have iphone 16 pro 26.1

You might try to ask for help on Instagram (spotify) or tiktok (@spotify)

or someone else may help .

I don't stream from Watch because of battery concerns on my SE2

OK I stream Spotify from my phone and double tap on my Airpods stalk and it skips fine so...

are you streaming from phone or from Watch)
What are you double tapping?

Someone may know a solution other than how I use Spotify. There should be no need to stream from Watch unless you are away from the iphone for some reason.

Hello there! Nice to see a reply! Im streaming from phone. In watch 11 there is new gesture and you can tap your fingers together and it will do some things like do simple commands or do the music commands.

So the tapping works but the setting to skip song doesnt :(
