Brother ADS2400N scanner does not work under Tahoe
The Brother iPrint&Scan app shows it as offline. Same for the multi-function Brother MFC-L3750: the print function works, the scan function does not.
Is this a problem with scan software inside Tahoe?
Is there a work-around?

Mine lets me choose between document feeder and flatbed in the top menu. My scanner-printer lets me scan either way.
I don't use Tahoe but we're probably looking at the same Brother app which is by Brother. They really dumbed down the features in the app compared to the one I used to use with High Sierra. I found all the features I used to use are now in Image Capture. I took one look at the printer interface and also looked elsewhere.
If you want a "pro" scanner application, look at Vuescan, but be you will have to pay for it (plus it is a subscription, not a one-time purchase).
I still use Sequoia and I use Image Capture. Click on More Details to get full features. The Brother app is kind of "meh".
Thanks, but it does not work for the ADS-2400N. That machine is a fast scanner, both sides in one pass, sheet feeder. The Brother app also does OCR well and fast.
The Image Capture trick works with the multi-function machine but that is slow.
So, not really a solution.
(And where is the problem? In Tahoe or in the Brother app?)
