Whenever I open a new app, or click on an application on my MacBook Pro, the app will not open in the front. I have to manually go and minimize each application open, to find the application I need. This is especially problematic when I am working between two applications as I cannot flip back and forth to each one. My computer is up to date. This started in the last two weeks and hasn't resolved on its own. THANK YOU for any tips you have.
I find when I open a closed app from the Dock, that it does open in the background with macOS 26.1 Tahoe. Very annoying. However, if I click the app icon on the Dock again, it will bring the app to the front. I would imagine I could also task switch to it by Command + Tab, but haven't tried the latter option yet.
Currently I only have access to two Macs with Tahoe. One is a clean install with no migration (26.1 directly)....no such issues. The other one was a clean install of 26.0.1 & upgraded to 26.1 later on, but I migrated from an older OS so I could test Tahoe out (all on same laptop).....this is the one with the issue.
