How do I turn off downtime on my series 8 Apple Watch? I have tried everything.

How do I turn off downtime for my Apple Watch 8? My watch doesn't detect my early morning workouts and I'd like to be able to start a workout manually, but my watch won't let me. Really frustrating - I'm up by 6:30 every day but my watch is stuck in downtime until 7 pm.

I have downtime on phone is off, and app limits are not set.

they are both on Bluetooth and I have unpaired and repaired them as well as re- started both of them. Help!

First I would turn off all Screen Time restrictions and turn off the Screen Time passcode, which can delinquently lock-in settings

Then unpair the watch and pair it again without using the backup, ie as a new watch.

You will lose your saved faces and any alarms on the watch. Some workout settings may be lost, butbthe intention is to lose the bad faith downtimes.
