Importing photos that I airdropped from my iPhone raises a security alert! Really?

I sent some photos I took w my iphone via airdrop.

When I tried to open them or import them into photo's app, I get an error over a 'security' concern that they may contain malware.

This makes no sense and then I have to go photo by photo and tell the macbook to open them anyway via the security page in the systems settings.

Seriously apple! Really??!!!
