I have two iPhones that were never activated. They were stolen iPhones for use with Verizon, but Verizon won’t report them stolen because they’ve never been activated. Other than contacting the police, what are my options to make sure the crook cannot activate them? I have the imei of both devices
You don’t really have an option. If Verizon is refusing to blacklist the IMEI (assuming you purchased them from them) and they were never activated it means they were never able to have Find My turned on.
Curious….are you saying you legitimately purchased 2 iPhones and didn’t activate them and they were both stolen from you?
You can report things to the police, but that won't stop whoever might have the phones in their possession from trying to activate them.
If the phones were locked to Verizon, the thief can set up new service on the phones with Verizon. If the phones were unlocked, then the thief can set up service with virtually any carrier that they want.
