Don't forget that the Block Caller feature is really only effective in blocking legitimate numbers. Spammers use "spoofed" numbers, so any further communication is not likely to even come from that number again where blocking would stop them. I have seen some devices filled with blocked numbers thinking that they are reducing spam, but all they have done is filled their phone with a bunch of random numbers and haven't actually reduced spam calls at all.
For reducing spam, I would first contact your carrier where they have the ability to verify the number before it even reaches your device and you can choose what action you want to take. Notice I said reduce spam because there is no way to eliminate them unless you only allow calls from the people you know.
