Charger broke and messed up my port

One day, my phone fell while charging and that charger broke, and I believe my port got messed up as well. It takes a few tries of plugging in and out for it to start charging and I frequently get liquid detection warnings that I have to override when I want my phone to charge sometimes (and there have been times where I’ve woken up to my phone almost dead because the warning activated while I slept).

Can this just be fixed by going to get it repaired, or do I have to do more?

Without the ability to see the phone and run some checks and tests, we can't possibly tell you whether it could be repaired easily, or whether new parts will need to replace damaged parts.

Make an appointment at the Apple Store / Genius Bar or take the phone to an authorized Apple service shop.

You can find a list of authorized shops in your area using this link:

Good luck.
