Stolen iPhone: Find My tracking & notifications post-erase
My phone was recently stolen. The phone is tagged as lost and the Erase command has been completed via Find My app. I purchased a new phone with the same phone number as the stolen phone. The provider marked the phone as stolen and put the phone on a "black list", so it could not be reactivated. The phone shows up and has been moving around daily in my Find My app and in the Settings it has "Cancel Erase". From other inquiries, I understand it will be erased when connected to the internet and to not remove it from the Find My app.
So, I have a couple of questions: (1) Do notifications, text messages, etc. still show up on the home screen of the stolen phone since my new phone has the same number as it had? (2) How is the phone being tracked with Find My app if not connected to internet or cell service?
thank you in advance for your help!
