Hi everyone!

Could someone please tell me how to remove the “Application Library”? It really gets in the way.

The App Library, CANNOT be removed. I fail to see how it gets in the way? It is the very last page of however many pages of apps you have on your iPhone. And you only arrive at the App Library by swiping from right to left through all of your home pages until you arrive at the App Library. Again, it can't be removed it's hard coded into iOS.

Thanks for the quick reply. But try to understand this: if all my apps already fit on a single home screen, what’s the point of having an extra screen (the App Library) that just shows the same apps scattered around in a chaotic mess?

It’s like carrying spare tires on the back seat of your car. You’re still driving on the front ones anyway.

"Again, it can't be removed it's hard coded into iOS." - Too bad.

Thanks again.

I do understand this and how the App Library works and why it's there. It's on iPhone, iPad and MacBook too. It is merely a convenience to be able to find apps on your iPhone, which can be helpful for those folks who may hundreds of apps and want to find one quickly.

It's not going to be removed, but you are welcome to provide feedback to Apple if you want.

A lot of people have multiple Home Screens. It is possible to remove an app from your Home Screens (deliberately, or accidentally), in which case the App Library is where you go to get it back.

I sometimes help people with Android phones, and they also have an “all apps” screen separate from the main “home screens” (even if the organization is different).

Because some like to customize their Home Screens to organize any way they wish and also add Widgets on the Home Screens that make sense for them with specific apps. You don't need to include all apps on the Home Screens and they also do not need to be a chaotic mess. They are arranged any way you want.

The App Library does not have any of those customization options and is the only place to view every app you have on your device in one place. We all know how individuals like their customization options and it is the Home Screens that allow them to do that. You can also have the same app on multiple Home Screens and thanks to the App Library that requires no additional storage space as the Home Screens apps are just links to the actual app in the App Library.

We are other end users with no more insight into why Apple does or does not do things than you. Our "understanding" does not change Apple's. We cannot answer rhetorical questions like that here.

You are free to place your concern/disappointment before an Apple employee using this link:
