Turn off Liquid Glass or remove iOS 26

i have 2 neurological conditions that affect me physically and it’s actually making me feel nauseous using my phone, every time I open an app or get a notification it’s making me feel like I need to be sick.

the keyboard lags. As you can see making a new paragraph doesn’t auto capitalise letters but continuing after a. Full. Stop. Does.

the rounded corners and shape adjustments to things like sliders with animation, is not user friendly in the slightest or accessible.

I want to turn it off completely or downgrade my iOS?

You can’t turn it off, however;

Open Settings ➢ Accessibility ➢ Display & Text Size, then toggle Reduce Transparency = on.

Also in Settings ➢ Accessibility ➢ Motion, then toggle Reduce Motion = on.

Also in Settings ➢ Display & Brightness ➢ Liquid Glass ➢ Tinted.

In addition, you can provide ⇢ Product Feedback.

If enough requests are made, your feedback might help with future development, like a toggle in the settings.

Good luck! 👋🏼😉

Unfortunately the animations, like when opening an app, or underneath notifications, even when opening my keyboard does not turn off even when I do this. Guess I’ll just avoid using my phone until they add the to remove the feature. Autocorrect lags and doesn’t correct and there’s a useless bar separated from the keyboard that further takes up the screen. I will just have to install a 3rd party keyboard.
