Do I need a USB-C to Apple Pencil adapter for my 10th generation iPad with Apple Pencil generation 1?

I have an iPad (10th generation), and I recently bought an Apple Pencil (Gen 1). However, when I tried to connect it, it didn’t work. I’m using the Lightning to Apple Pencil adapter, not the USB-C to Apple Pencil one. Do I have to use the USB-C to Apple Pencil adapter?

Yes, the 10th Generation iPad has a USB-C port, while the First generation Apple Pencil has a Lightning connector under the rear cap. So you need the Lightning to USB-C Pencil adapter.

There's no such thing as a Lightning to Apple Pencil Adapter, since the Apple Pencil is already a Lightning device.

You use the USB-C to Pencil Adapter to connect a USB-C cable to the Pencil to charge and pair it with the iPad.
