Apple Wallet has a problem. I cannot add boarding passes for my son and myself - each overwrites the other. This forces me to have paper boarding passes when we travel together. How do I start an action to get the application fixed? iPhone 12 with iOS 26.2
Unfortunately, I have no way of testing out how this works. I can only offer some possible workarounds. Print the second boarding pass as a PDF and save it to Files. Or screenshot it and save it to Photos.

Passes are only able to be added to the Wallet by the provider of the Pass, where they can also remove them. You can certainly contact Apple here, but I suspect a resolution will have to come from the provider so they do not remove the pass when approving the other.

Yes he is III and I am Jr but it does not print on the boarding pass so even though the passes are different Apple Wallet treats them as duplicate.

It shouldn't be that difficult. Open the document in Photos or Files right before you board. If you're accessing Wallet by double-tapping the side button or by scanning, once you're done, you should be right back at the other app. I'd be surprised if it takes you 10 seconds.
That assumes I am good with the phone and that it is my phone instead of my employer's phone which limits what I can do on it. But I do understand the concepts you present. I would rather Apple fix the source problem but I do not know how to submit it as a problem to them - they get off the hook by telling us to fix things ourselves.

Obviously, it's not ideal. You should definitely tell Apple exactly what you think. But neither you nor I can change how things are. So, until such time as they do, you'll need to figure out a way to live with it.
Nothing I suggested is fancy or should be impossible to due even on a work phone. As to the switching, practice a couple of times before you need to do it for real. What else are you going to be doing while waiting out the flight delay?
Appreciate the humor. Understood cannot change what is - unless I can find a way to get it worked on by Apple. That is what I was hoping to achieve. To date I have not missed any flights due to the issue, it is just an inconvenience that Apple could fix.
When I booked self, wife and son, three emails - one per boarding pass - are received. I add my pass to wallet, check, it is there. I add wife's pass to wallet, check, it is there. I add son's pass to wallet, check, mine is gone and his is present. Since it is different seat is easy to tell. If I re-add mine to wallet, check, mine is present and his is gone. And round and round - both mine and his cannot exist in the wallet at the same time.

Is your son a smaller child? Don’t you use Sr. and Jr. to differentiate yourselves?
You stated passes are being overwritten. What makes you think that?

Just wait until he grows up, and your credit reports get everything mixed up. Teach him good financial habits now!
We’ve now got multiple parties involved. In my experience with these issues, Apple is the least likely candidate. The airline may be sending identically named files, and one of the files is being overwritten. Another possible candidate is the employer. IT departments are notorious for restricting access of various types to Apple Wallet.
Which airline is issuing the tickets?

Indeed. My name and my father’s name differ only by a suffix. When he passed in 1972 the university that we both graduated from reported the death as mine.
