Mail changing # to %23 in link dialog box and breaking links

I think I found a mail bug. Anytime I create a link using the dial link box in mail the link changes the # to %23 which breaks the link. Anyone else have this issue? Didn't happen until I upgraded to Tahoe.

The "Plain Text" Workaround

If you are using a desktop client like Outlook, it sometimes tries to be "too smart" with HTML formatting.

Try toggling the email format to Plain Text before pasting the link, then switch back to HTML.
Alternatively, wrap the link in angle brackets like this: <https://example.com/page#section>. Many mail servers recognize this as a "hands-off" instruction for the URL.
