I've had iPhones since the original in 2007. I have never used a screen protector and I've never had any regrets.
Same goes for 'camera protectors'.
A quality case is a must for me, but that's it. Oh... that and AppleCare+ coverage.
Screen Protector? ABSOLUTELY. This year, I went with ESR Corning Glass for iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max. They also have it for iPhone 17. It's impossible to make a mistake with the installation, the glass is amazing and fingerprint resistant AND it's also Anti-Glare, which make a BIG difference. I highly HIGHLY recommend it. Easily purchased on Amazon.
Camera Protection? NO. The camera covers are sapphire glass to begin with. Adding camera covers adds another layer light has to filter through, can increase lens flare and degrade the overall quality of photos. DO, put your phone in a good protective case, which will keep the cameras out of harms way.
I’ve been using the TechMatte amFilm OneTouch screen protector on my iPhone 17 and it’s been excellent so far.. The install tray made application simple and bubble‑free, and the tempered glass feels just like the original screen. It’s clear, case‑friendly, and has held up well against scratches — definitely one I’d recommend at this time.
I always protect my phone. Usually Tech21 cases and Belkin screen protectors. You have a $1000 investment in your hand. The case and cover are sacrificial.
