Messages app - Document and data cannot be deleted !?

Hi all!

i have issue with large data taken by messages. At least this is what shows in iphone storage. Check screen shot - document and data : 6,4Gb !!! I cannot delete it, its coming back each time i backup phone. I got it for several years until now, no one could explain how to get rid off it.

Anyone maybe had similar issue?

Messages and attachments can take up a substantial amount of storage. Open the Messages app and delete unnecessary conversations or individual messages. You can also enable the option to automatically delete messages after a certain period. Go to "Settings" > "Messages" > "Keep Messages" and select an appropriate duration. Deleting attachments to messages may also help
