Problems with the iPad device
Subject: Question Regarding Safe Use of Apple Tablet
Dear Apple Support Team,
First of all, please allow me to express my gratitude for the high-quality products that I have been using for many years. I own a MacBook, an iPhone, an Apple tablet, and even an Apple power bank. However, I recently encountered an issue with one of my favorite devices.
Here is my situation: my Apple tablet, model [please specify the exact model], serial number [please specify the serial number], has served me faithfully for about ten years and remained in excellent working condition until a recent incident. Before leaving for a holiday, I turned off the device and carefully placed it on a shelf inside a closed cabinet. Upon returning home, I was extremely surprised and concerned to find the tablet in a worrying state: the cover had swollen, and the body looked visibly deformed, as if it had been “turned inside out.” This raised serious concerns about the safety of the battery, as I can hardly imagine the possible consequences if the situation had led to a fire or explosion.
As all of my devices are Apple products, I am particularly concerned about the overall safety of your technology. Therefore, I would kindly ask you to clarify:
— What could have caused this deformation of the tablet’s body?
— Could similar issues occur with other Apple devices of a comparable age?
— What preventive measures should users of aging devices take to minimize the risk of damage or hazardous incidents?
I would also greatly appreciate your recommendations on the next steps, including the proper and safe disposal of an Apple product with a damaged battery.
Thank you in advance for your understanding and assistance. I look forward to your detailed response.
Sincerely,
Mme K*** T**
