Recently on my '13 MacBook Air, Mojave 10.14.3, Google Chrome, I've experienced pop-up ads & banners on various websites. Can you please help me diagnose & remove the malware, please? Thank you!

I received an alert telling me that my Java was outdated. I thought it was legit, but ever since then I have experienced the adware popups/banners. Could this be the source? Will Java prompt mac users to update software, or did I fall for a virus?
Thank you for your reply. Is there anything else I can do that doesn't require a paid service? Can I run diagnostics myself? These ads were not an issue until recently. I am afraid that I have something injected into my system. Thank you.
Nothing in your screen shots indicate malware. However, you can run Malwarebytes to find any you may have installed.
