rapid noise coming from MacBook Air 11"

Noise sounds like something pressing on keyboard - quite loud and fast. Have tried rebooting and presently backing up HD before exploring further. Any ideas?

It sounds like you may have a stuck key on the keyboard. This is just a guess from your description since I haven't heard the sound.


You can try running the Apple Hardware Test or Apple Diagnostics depending on the age of your laptop to see if you may have a fan issue although it may not detect some types of failures.


You can always take your laptop to Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider to be examined.
