Internal hard drive 2008 Mac Pro Tower
I installed a new internal hard drive on my 2008 Mac Pro Tower desk top now getting error code external disk not readable

Did you format the disk when you installed it in your Mac.
Open Disk Utility click on the disk in the left hand column, click Erase,
Give your disk a name, next to Format select MacOS X Extended (Journaled)
and next to Scheme select GUID Partition Map, then click Erase.
