After I make a screen shot, nothing happens.

Usually the screenshots were saved on my desktop... but now...nothing, nothing happens. I have OS Catalina and I took screenshots in the past days and it worked... but not today.

Can u help?

Thank you

Running out of ideas…

  1. Try restarting your Mac
  2. Try resetting NVRAM: Reset NVRAM or PRAM on your Mac - Apple Support
  3. Try resetting SMC: How to reset the System Management Controller (SMC) on your Mac - Apple Support

Try this… while in the Finder, press "command shift G", copy then paste this line into the window that opens…

~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.screencapture.plist

move the plist file to the trash but do not empty it. Try taking a screen shot again. If that doesn't work, click on the Trash icon in the Dock, right/control click on the file and select "Put Back".

After I make a screen shot, nothing happens.
