Hi TrueStalin,

Since this is only happening on YouTube, try clearing the YouTube website data.

You'll find that in Safari > Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data.

Search for "Youtube" and remove what you find then click Done.

Quit Safari and open Safari again and give playback a shot.

Hi TrueStalin,

It sounds like you're having trouble with your cursor and I want to help.

Does this behavior continue in safe mode?

If it works in the Safe Mode, try running this program when booted normally and then copy and paste the output in a reply. The program was created by Etresoft, a frequent contributor.  Please use copy and paste as screen shots can be hard to read. Click “Share Report” button in the toolbar, select “Copy to Clipboard” and then paste into a reply. This will show what is running on your computer. No personal information is shown. If the log won’t post, try posting it in Pastebin and provide a link in a reply. After pasting the report in a PasteBin page, go to the top of the page, and copy the address in the URL bar. Paste that in a new reply.        Pastebin

Not really a fix, but this will allow you to click on the YouTube buttons again, and make things go back to normal:

go to system preferences, go to keyboard en make sure the "Touch Bar shows" field is set to "app controls".

Now if you make YouTube full screen, you will see that (sometimes) the Touch Bar is showing some browser tabs, and a cross symbol at the far left. You will need to push the cross symbol or you will not be able to push anything on the screen. As soon as you push the cross, things work as normal again.

Very annoying bug and hopefully apple fixes it soon.
