My macbook died and now will not power on with charger attached

My 2016 MacBook died earlier today and now will not turn back on even with a charger attached. It doesn’t seem to be taking a charge. I have tried 2 chargers, different outlets etc. When I plug a charger in, I can hear the connection sound and the screen lights up to show the dead battery symbol with the lightning bolt underneath. Any thoughts?

Have patience. if it fired up now, before it has accumulated a charge, it would die again right away.

Leave it connected to the power adapter for a long time, like overnight. It will never over-charge.
