1-800 phone call

I just received a 1-800 automated phone call saying my Apple ID and iCloud is compromised, and that I could press 1 to speak with an Apple employee. Is this a fake call? I haven’t gotten an email saying anyone strange has tried to login with a new device or anything like that.

Apple does not make such calls.

All such calls are scams from criminals attempting to steal your personal and financial information. The callers will often use number spoofing to pretend they are calling from a legitimate business. The correct course of action is to hang up on them, repeatedly if needed.
