Fake apple email receipts

Hello, I was checking my email (hotmail) through google chrome on my mac & I saw an email that has the name Apple Store. So I clicked into it and opened the pdf...to late I then noticed it's scam email isn't from apple. I quickly deleted the email and changed my hotmail password. I'm wondering if i should be worried? Can I get virus on my mac? Did they hack my mac? What are the steps that I can do?

it's just phishing, they attempt to click on a url in the mail leading to a fake site that looks like apples where they will have you type in your appleID and password so they can steal all your data and assume your identity
