iPhone XR headphone

When I plug in my headphones, the music still comes out of the speakers of the phone.

I have tried a couple of pairs of headphones and they work in another iPhone.

any ideas?

Hello,

Check the charging port for lint or other debris and see this:

If your headphones don‘t work with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If no help, try this:

1) Open the Control Center

2) 3D press (or long press) on the music controls

3) Select the output option (little up-arrow with circles)

4) Select headphones

Good luck.
