empty trash dialog comes up after having emptied the trash

as mentioned in post https://discussions.apple.com/thread/8102776 , clicking the empty trash button in the empty trash dialog emtpies the trash AND makes another empty trash dialog appear. you can drag the dialog around but you cannot make it disappear. clicking the buttons does not cause any further action. since this glitch has been existing for quite a while now i wonder if there has been found a solution to it eventually?

I've never seen that here!?


Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode?


Safe mode attempts to repair Disks & clears lots of caches, so if Safe Mode works try again in regular boot.


You can save us asking dozens of questions by submitting a report...
