iMac late 2009 Doesn't boot up (HDD may be dead)

Recently I've revisited my old iMac since my laptop broke, but when I turn it on it just shows the apple logo and a progress bar that starts halfway, It is currently running MacOs High Sierra, recovery mode doesn't work, it shows a question mark when trying to enter recovery mode.

Hello,

Unfortunately your iMac’s hard disk may indeed have failed and would need to be replaced.
