Serial Number of Product has been replaced.

So , I was on Apple's Check Coverage website.

I entered my serial number for my iPhone 4 , but then it states that "We’re sorry, but this is a serial number for a product that has been replaced. Please check your information and re-enter your serial number. If your information is correct, you may need to contact us." . I would like to know why this has happened. For all I know my iPhone is at least 10 years old now.

It's Been Cancelled Out for Use:

The phone was reportedly stollen, and was supposed to be returned. Being that it never was, it is now no longer considered an Apple device, and it useless.

Where did you get this iPhone?

  • If you, yourself, purchased it directly from Apple way-back-when, contact Apple, and find out what exact has occurred, ever since.

  • If you purchased this elsewhere, contact the seller. You've been scammed.

If purchased through eBay, then you'd contact eBay and see if the seller can be help accountable, and if you can get your money back.

Serial Number of Product has been replaced.
