iPhone password

My phone was stolen so I got a new one I logged into my iCloud with my old number and I forgot my password? I’m trying to reset it but it goes back to the old number? How can I reset my password beside using an old number ?

If you have 2 Factor Authentication enabled on your account, see if anything here helps.  If necessary, you can use account recovery as explained in the link at bottom of the article.

If you are locked out of your Apple ID account you can go to https://iforgot.apple.com

This will provide you with the recovery steps you put in place for this situation.
