I backed up my WhatsApp on my old phone and transferred my WhatsApp to the new one. On transferring it, I lost my recent chats which was frustrating so I googled what to do and I saw an option of deleting and reinstalling your WhatsApp. I deleted my WhatsApp (before this I made sure my WhatsApp was backed up). I reinstalled it back and I got my recent chats back but not my media. While it was restoring, a prompt showed up and said the media will be restored in the background after the messages have been restored. But up till now nothing

I don't know what to do

Have you tried connecting the device to power, WiFi, and leaving it alone to upload/sync?
