How can I restore iPhoto after recent update to Catalina?

iPhoto was discontinued several years ago and no longer runs in Catalina. You can use its replacement, Photos. Launch Photos with the option key held down. From the resulting dialog, choose your iPhoto Library. Photos will create a new library from your iPhoto media. Your iPhoto Library will not be changed.
So, follow the directions I gave. You will have to use Photos to access your images.
I have Photos and use it but I want to restore and be able to access all the photos I had on iphoto
