When I use text to speech in iBooks, it translates all my books to the system language as it reads them. I have books in many different languages and want to hear the original language. How do I turn this translation off?

Does it really translate between languages? Or do you mean that it just reads the written language with the voice of the system language (like reading French as if it were English)?

Ah, you're right - I hadn't listened long enough to realize how strange it sounds, I just tried a few seconds on several books and now I realize it all sounds like gibberish. I suppose I will just need to change my system settings each time I open a book in a different language...
