Faulty keyboard and trackpad post sleep - Macbook Pro 16 inch

Hi everyone,


The keyboard and trackpad on my 2019 Macbook Pro 16 inch works perfectly on startup, but if I then close the laptop lid and come back to it later, it fails to reactivate.


The computer realised that it doesn't have a connection and so the 'connect to a keyboard' dialogue pops up.


I then have to either plug into external keyboard/mouse or hard restart the computer.

Is anyone else having this issue? Any suggested solutions?
