iOs 13.6.1 update and Apple ID security breach?

Overnight my iPhone 8 updated to iOs 13.6.1. This morning when I first picked it up it displayed a message reading:

'Your Apple ID and phone number are now being used for iMessage and FaceTime on a new iPad. If you recently signed to 'your iPad', you can ignore this notification.'

My iPad also updated to iOs 13.6.1 overnight.

Should I be concerned about a security breach? How can I assess whether my security has been breached? Is this normal after updating to iOs 13.6.1? It hasn't happened with previous updates. Thanks in advance for your thoughts and advice.

You can check your device list to see if there is a device signed in that you don't recognize. You can remove the device using the steps in the article below. As a precaution, change your password.


Apple ID device list -Check to see where you‘re signed in.
