Upgrade to Sierra make FCP 6.0.6 not work right?

I currently have OS X El Capitan 10.11.6 version and think I should upgrade to Sierra. Will this make my Final Cut Pro (Not Final Cut ProX) software Version 6.0.6 and other current software not operate correctly or should I just stick to my El Capitan version?

iMac, OS X 10.11

First of all find out if you can upgrade to macOS Sierra, I think you have other posts out there asking that question.

If you want to get an idea of what software will work or not in your chosen OS click on this link below,

Enter the apps in the Search field, and the Options button to choose the Mac OS's you want to see results for.

Final Cut Pro 6 came out in 2009, so it working in an OS that came out in 2016 may be stretching it.
