I want to connect my mac book pro 2020 with i pad air 2 model A1566 to extend my screen. Is it possible to do it wirelessly?If yes how is it possible? I checked with sidecar but it does not work.

conecting mac mini with macbook ai I have a MacBook Air. Does the sidecar feature of MacOS Catalina support iPad Mini 4 for a second display/monitor? Does the sidecar feature of Catalina supports iPad Mini 4 for a second display/monitor? I don't know if sidecar supports and old iPad mini 4, though the iPad has been updated to the IpadOS 13.1.2. Had been trying to connect my Macbook Air and the iPad mini4 but it seems its not detecting my iPad. Uses same wifi network, connected both via bluetooth. turned wifi and bluetooth on/off but to no avail its not working. Any insights? Thanks

so not even with any wire as well? you mean connectivity is not possible at all for the screen extension.??

Not with Apple only. There are 3rd party apps that work over USB, like Duet Display. I have no experience with them.
