my keyboard and trackpad are not responding

my keyboard and trackpad are not responding when the MacBook finishes turning on. They work when it asks for my password, i can enter my password with the keyboard and i use the trackpad mouse to hit the arrow for enter and the MacBook continues to power up. When it finishes the mouse pointer is stuck in the upper right corner and won't move and the keyboard will not work either. I had to attach a wired usb mouse and wired usb keyboard in order to use the computer. I tried to reset the the SMC and the PRAM, per apple community instructions, and nothing seems to fix the issue.


what else can i do?

Does the same thing happen in Safe Mode?


Are you running any anti-virus software, cleaning apps, or third party security software which may be causing a problem?


If you happen to have a MBPro 2015 model, then you may have a defective Trackpad Cable.
