Big Sur Not Found

Hi-

I have been trying to upgrade from Catalina to Big Sur since yesterday evening. Initially the update showed up as available, then mysteriously disappeared.

Since it vanished, I have been getting this:

I have tried using both the Software Update tool available thru System Preferences and thru the App Store; neither works. My Mac keeps telling me that I have the latest software, which is Catalina 10.15.7.

Is this Apple or something else going on? Do I just need to continue to wait? I'm so frustrated right now.

Hmm, have you checked the Mac compatibility list? See Here: https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT211238

Click the apple logo in the top left corner of the screen. Then Click 'About This Mac' And It Look if your model is on the list I gave you above.

It might be that apple servers are crashing, because there are so many people trying to get Big Sur! Just have a look at all the problems people get! About 1 problem per MINUTE!! See: https://discussions.apple.com/community/mac_os/big-sur
