Big Sur Installation Failed

Hi, i have am early 2015 Macbook Air, it shows that i have an Big Sur update pending, but everytime it tries to update, after downloading some 12+GB of data gives a message stating "installation failed" is there any problem ?

Before continuing with the upgrade, we recommend backing up your Mac so that your information witll be safe.

Once you have a backup, you can check a few things to see why the installations is failing.


Some things to check are making sure you have enough free space on your Mac, and checking the health of your Mac using Disk Utility First Aid.

How to repair a Mac disk with Disk Utility - Apple Support


You can also try to install Big Sur from macOS Recovery.

How to reinstall macOS - Apple Support
