Big Sur 11.2.3 update

Big Sur 11.2.3 update won't install. It goes through download to restart but then fails to install. Any suggestions? I've got a 2020 MacBook Air.

Shutdown via the Power Button / Touch ID Button. Disconnect all external drives and connect to charger. Restart and Immediately hold the - Shift - key. This is Safe Mode and will do a Repair Disk, clear cache files and only load Apple Software and Fonts. It is going to load slowly - Norma. This process may or may not allow the Installer to finish and present the Setup Assist.
