iPad repeatedly crashing

Since updating to iOS 14 my iPad is constantly crashing with battery level as the indicator, this is happening with the battery anywhere between 10% and 40%. It sometimes restarts without charging, sometimes it needs a charge, but shows the previous battery level eg 20% so it’s not flat.

Is there fix for this?

Hi Tazman377,

Thanks for coming to Apple Support Communities for help today with your iPad that us shutting down and restarting on you.

It's very possible the battery needs servicing. However, you can restore the iPad to see if it resolves the issue: Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings. Just be sure you have a backup made.

If the issue continues, please visit Contact Apple Support.

Have a fantastic day!
