What application are you concerned may not work in Rosetta2, and have you contacted the developer to see if they have prepared their application for Big Sur compatibility?
Have several apps on my 8 year old MacBook Pro that I hope will work on a potential new M1 MacBook Air. It sounds like Rosetta does the job for most if not all?
