You are using an M1 mac, right?
What applications are you trying to open under Rosetta?
This option only makes sense for “universal” applications, that is, those who have both Apple Silicon and Intel code inside.
In my very limited experience with M1 macs, I have seen that most but not all universal applications allow for opening with Rosetta.
I am trying to install openbuildings designer from Bentley systems inc
it is a design software than runs on Windows 10 64 bit
I don't know if the company is going to upgrade the software to run as a universal application.
Your help is much appreciated
Many thanks in advance
FWIW, IF it will run in WIndows 10 ARM64, you would have to sign up for Microsoft Insider Preview, download it, then run it as a VM in Parallels Desktop 16.5. I would contact Bentley and ask if it can run in the ARM version of Windows 10.
Rosetta 2 on a Mac with Apple silicon and should automatic update as required.

Exactly. There is no Mac version. Apple Silicon or otherwise.
User wrote " it is a design software than runs on Windows 10 64 bit " . Windows application will not run natively on macOS no matter whether Rosetta2 is available on the computer or not.
You're welcome.
